Allman Brothers Band - Ramblin' Man

Album: Brothers and Sisters

Lord, I was born a ramblin' man
Tryin' to make a livin' and doin' the best I can
And when it's time for leavin', I hope you'll understand
That I was born a ramblin' man

Well my father was a gambler down in Georgia
He wound up on the wrong end of a gun
And I was born in the back seat of a greyhound bus
Rollin' down Highway 41

Lord, I was born a ramblin' man
Tryin' to make a livin' and doin' the best I can
And when it's time for leavin', I hope you'll understand
That I was born a ramblin' man

I'm on my way to New Orleans this mornin'
Leaving out of Nashville, Tennessee
They're always having a good time down on the bayou
Lord, the delta women think the world of me

Lord, I was born a ramblin' man
Tryin' to make a livin' and doin' the best I can
And when it's time for leavin', I hope you'll understand
That I was born a ramblin' man

Lord, I was born a ramblin' man
Lord, I was born a ramblin' man
Lord, I was born a ramblin' man
Lord, I was born a ramblin' man

Todd Rundgren - Hello It's Me (1972)

Studio Version , Lyrics, pics http://www.tr-i.com/

Hello, it's me
I've thought about us for a long, long time
Maybe I think too much but something's wrong
There's something here that doesn't last too long
Maybe I shouldn't think of you as mine
Seeing you
Or seeing anything as much as I do you
I take for granted that you're always there
I take for granted that you just don't care
Sometimes I can't help seeing all the way through
It's important to me
That you know you are free
'Cause I never want to make you change for me
Think of me
You know that I'd be with you if I could
I'll come around to see you once in a while
Or if I ever need a reason to smile
And spend the night if you think I should
It's important to me
That you know you are free
'Cause I never want to make you change for me
Think of me
You know that I'd be with you if I could
I'll come around to see you once in a while
Or if I ever need a reason to smile
And spend the night if you think I should
Think of me...
Think of me...
Think of me

Show And Tell - Al Wilson (1973)

Allen LaMar 'Al' Wilson (June 19, 1939 ~ April 21, 2008) was an American soul singer best known for the million-selling #1 Gold-certified hit "Show And Tell", a popular song written by Jerry Fuller and first recorded by Johnny Mathis in 1972. The 1973 recording of the song by Al Wilson reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for one week on January 19, 1974, sold over two million copies and was named a Cashbox Magazine Number One Single of the Year. Wilson's version also made number ten on the Hot Soul Singles chart. This channel is dedicated to all the great 'old school' R&B music I grew up with, the stuff that originally made me tap my feet and want to be a DJ. Funk, soul, disco, R&B, dance, hip-hop, pop . . . 60s, 70s, 80s . . . whatever you call it, it's all 'Old School' and it's all here!
